Chechnya used to be a disastrous place destroyed by war. Since 2012, Russia has given money to rebuild Chechnya to a modern place of economic activity. Grozny was the center of two wars and now it is the thriving capital of Chechnya. The head of this rebuild in Putin with the help of Ramzan.

Chechnya Today
Today Chechnya is legally federal subdivision of Russia. This country under distress is controlled by Russia, but they have their own president, Ramzan Kadyrov. Ramzan has been president since 2007, he became president after he succeeded Alu Alkhanov. Putin placed Ramzan in as president and the Chechen parliament approves. There is no elections that are planned for Chechnya in the near future. Chechnya is in a rebuilding state and is trying to suppress extremists and rebels. President Putin, president of Russia, is giving money to rebuild the traumatic cities of Chechnya, mainly Grozny. Grozny has been the center of two devastating wars and is in need of reconstruction. The country is said to be in a state of 'normalisation', which means it has normalized in a large degree. Still the country experiences challenges. The country's citizens have experienced many attacks on their human rights. Ramzan has dropped three libel suits against human rights activists who have accused him of murder. There is still low-level rebel violence that still affects the country's stability. There is a continuous fighting between jihadists (separatists) and the Russian government. Despite these challenges, the country has improved as a whole since the 1990's and before.
This map shows the important cities in Chechnya. The capital of Chechnya is Grozny. Grozny was the center of the wars in Chechnya and now is rebuilding to compete in the economic world. Wars have also struck many important cities in Chechnya.

Chechnya's Chain of Revolts
I do not believe that this conflict is a revolution. I say this because this conflict between Moscow and Chechnya has been lasting for more than 200 years, most revolutions consist of one war or uprising. I think this conflict is more of a chain of revolts. Many different rebel groups, jihadists and separtists rebels, are revolting against pro-Moscow governments and officials. The situation in Chechnya consists of many bombings, riots and guerilla warfare tactics, rather than an organized attack on the Russian government. if these attacks were more central and organized, these revolts could turn into a revolution. Chechnya has had glimpses of revolutions, with two wars. Although these wars were spread out in years. Also these wars were invasions of Russian military groups to suppress independence movements.
